KCMUN

Kang Chiao Model United Nations Club was founded in 2009.  Since then, the club has grown from a small group of students guided by one teacher to an annual school activity that involves students from grade 7 to grade 12 and a team of teachers and administrators.  There is a junior MUN club that trains junior high students and a senior MUN club that organizes school MUN conferences.

In order to expose the students to MUN, we hold two conferences each year.  One conference is a practice conference catered toward KC students only, and another conference is an annual formal KC MUN conference where outside schools are sometimes invited to attend.

Besides attending our own school's conferences, KCIS students also join various MUN conferences locally and internationally.  Students have participated in conferences sponsored by high schools and universities.

Through MUN participation, many students have developed a genuine interest in global affairs and a stronger sense of responsibility in changing the world.  The skills that students acquire and practice are proven to be valuable as they enter the society.  Therefore, we are determined to continue this organization in order to prepare students for the future.
